Bradley Cooper, Pedro Pascal and More Stars Flocking to See Sarah Paulson in Broadway's Appropriate

Appropriate is one of the hottest tickets on Broadway, and it's got a sea of celebrity stars among its audience to prove it.

The play — penned by two-time Pulitzer prize finalist Branden Jacobs-Jenkins and directed by Lila Neugebauer — opened to rave reviews in December, the family drama striking comparisons to Tony-winning pieces like August: Osage County and The Humans.

Sarah Paulson, Corey Stoll and Michael Esper star in the play as a trio of siblings who return to their father's Arkansas house after his death to deal with the remains of his estate. But when mysterious objects are discovered among the clutter, suddenly, long-hidden secrets and buried resentments surface as the family is forced to face the ghosts of their past.

The Second Stage Theater production, now playing at the Hayes Theater in New York City, initially sold out its initial run and a three-week extension, which wraps March 3. Due to overwhelming ticket demand, a transfer to the Belasco Theater for an additional 13-week limited engagement will begin March 25 and play through June 23.

Nearly the entire original company will continue with the production, including Paulson, Stoll, Esper, Natalie Gold, Graham Campbell, Alyssa Emily Marvin, Lincoln Cohen and Everett Sobers.

Elle Fanning, who made her Broadway debut in the play, is unavailable to transfer. She will be replaced by Feud star Ella Beatty (the daughter of Warren Beatty and Annette Bening).

Since opening, famous faces like Cate Blanchett, Lupita Nyong’o, Jessica Lange, Cynthia Erivo, Jennifer Garner, Colin Jost, Scarlett Johansson, Hugh Jackman, Billy Porter, Sasha Obama, Julianna Margulies, Patti LuPone, Rebel Wilson, Catherine O’Hara, Sally Field, Rachel Brosnahan, Katie Holmes, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Finneas have all supported the production.
