How to Watch Sharks vs. Golden Knights, NHL Live Stream, Schedule, TV Channel, Start Time

The NHL season begins with quite the matchup on Wednesday night in the renewal of one of the hottest rivalries in the league. The San Jose Sharks visit the Las Vegas Golden Knights. The Sharks knocked Las Vegas out of the playoffs last season, so this time around, the Knights will have revenge on their mind.

The Sharks came so close to reaching the Stanley Cup Finals last season, falling just short to the St. Louis Blues in the Conference Finals in six games. San Jose now begins its quest to win the first Cup in franchise history. The Sharks lost several important players from last year’s team, including captain Joe Pavelski, who signed with the Dallas Stars. Despite that, the Sharks are considered among the favorites in the West. The big question mark this season is goaltender Martin Jones. After faltering last season, can he rebound?

While Vegas has found plenty of success in its first two NHL seasons, the team still has a bitter taste in its mouth after blowing a 3-1 series lead to the Sharks in the first round last season. The Knights managed to re-sign forward William Karlsson to an eight-year contract. His point total (56) last season was a little lower than expected, but there’s no reason to believe he can’t bounce back. While forward Erik Haula and defenseman Colin Miller left the team, the Knights still have plenty of talent to be near the top in the West.
