But it has only been spotted at Costco.

The smell of barbecue has already started drifting through my neighborhood, which means it’s only a matter of time before the cookout invites start rolling in. If you’re not one to whip up potato salad and the idea of being responsible for perfectly cooked ribs for a crowd makes you recoil, then you’ll want to be the first in line to volunteer to bring chips.

Even amidst an impressive homemade spread, chips still hold an important place on the table. Lay’s most popular flavors like Cheddar & Sour Cream and Salt & Vinegar are always crowd favorites. But if you want to spark lively conversation, just show up with a flavor no one has tried yet.

Recently, FritoLay launched a variety of new products that are perfect for impressing guests. Not only did it bring back and make the smoky Ruffles Smokehouse BBQ a permanent fixture, but it also announced that Doritos Dinamita XXTRA Flamin’ Hot will make a comeback, in addition to launching Sweet Potato Poppables, the brand’s first sweet potato chip to land on shelves in the U.S.

Now, FritoLay has added a zesty new chip to its Ruffles lineup, and this international-inspired release is sure to be the talk of the snack table.

FritoLay Introduces Ruffles Greek-Style Ranch

Ruffles Greek-Style Ranch chips were recently spotted at Costco and fans are raving over the new flavor. Given the name, we can expect a fusion of ranch’s zingy taste and savory Greek-inspired ingredients.

Social media users are intrigued by the chip’s name, but many are wondering how Greek-Style Ranch compares to tzatziki, a Greek yogurt-based sauce. “I'm so confused. Greece doesn't consume a ton of ranch. Does FritoLay mean tzatziki?” asked one person in a recent Reddit thread. “Rantziki,” joked another in response. “I guess maybe the concern was that Ruffles consumers wouldn't know what tzatziki is,” concluded one Redditor.

Ranch and tzatziki do share similar profiles, so this may be Ruffles' spin on Wavy Tzatziki, which the brand relaunched last summer. Based on the bag, Ruffles Greek-Style Ranch appears to include garlic, lemon, herbs, and Parmesan—a surprising addition that isn’t typically used in either dipping sauce. But FritoLay knows its customers, and many are already praising the unique combination. “Really good ranch flavor with lemon, dill, [and] a bit of a Parmesan flavor,” said one Redditor who gave the chips a 9/10 rating.

On Instagram, @markie_devo shared a photo of the new variety, and the comment section was buzzing with excitement. “Freaking love Ruffles so I know I am going to fall in love with this flavor,” wrote one fan. “I would buy the giant bag, yup, all mine, “ added another.

As of this writing, Ruffles Greek-Style Ranch chips are only available at Costco, but we don’t know how long they will be on shelves, nor do we know if they'll appear at other retailers. So if you end up spotting a bag at your local Costco, it's not a bad idea to snag yourself a bag (or two!) on your next grocery run.
