They are nice enough, when I lived in AZ i went to Mexico on a semi-regular basis to party. It was a nice place to visit.......

 

The only time i've considered voting was for Perot. Any person that rises to the top of a traditional party has way too many vested interest and debts to pay, to properly represent a country.

There was overwhelming evidence that something was going on. That major planning was happening and they should have been on guard. So what does Bush do??? He takes the ENTIRE MONTH OF AUGUST OFF. That's right OFF. Is it really any surprise they attacked in early September?

Cheney and Bush couldn't care less about warnings or anything else of the sort. They've got their agenda and they've had it since this shit started.

More people voted in the last election than ever. The numbers were up WAY up. You're never going to get EVERYONE to vote. And there are a LOT of cases where people's votes were tampered with...absentee ballots showed up with Bush already punched out.......just check out the second link I posted...and that was JUST in Ohio.

So I don't stand by "people didn't vote". Just because EVERYONE didn't vote doesn't mean that there wasn't a MAJOR attempt to oust him.

I think one of the first rules once the invasion has been succesful will be to ban "baseball" and make you all play a proper game like cricket instead - anyone found playing toss ball will be shot (should be enough guns lying around! )

I don't think it could count as a MAJOR attempt to oust him. Like (I think) you said traditionally the American public has been reluctant to change presidents during a time of war.

As to everyone voting I agree that might be too much to hope for but as far as a majority? not hardly. Even with increased turnouts there were enough Americans of legal voting age that didn't vote to have elected someone else with more votes than all the other candidates combined.

Yes, I was the one who said that.

But you have to consider that out of all the people who didn't vote some of them would have voted for Bush. So you can't really say it would have turned out any different.

And like I said, in Ohio there were MAJOR problems with getting people to the polling stations as well as absentee ballots that were already punched when they arrived. So even some who wanted to vote for Kerry may have "voted" Bush.

 

You know it's weird. Right before both elections when Bush was running for office my entire family had been excited to vote FOR Bush and then 2 weeks later they all deny voting for him... They must be ashamed

Personally I don't think Kerry would have been much better...

 

The point I was trying to make is that apathy and non-involvement in the political process is I believe what allows people like Bush to steal a couple elections.

It is I believe what gives us exactly the government we deserve. I have long agreed with Walter Cronkite that Americans don't just have a right to know what their government is doing they have a responsiblity to know.

In my opinion the majority of Americans neglect that responsibility and that allows the special interests and the power hungry to take control.
