I think I need to splurge $100 (American) dollars to get 4 homeless fat guys drunk on Mad Dog 20/20, buy them barely-there swimsuits from the thrift store that is no doubt somewhere nearby, and have them follow me for a day with a Dua Lipa-esque "New Rules" entrance-to-the-pool-thing...I'd go to banks, grocery stores, etc etc.....

 

Let's be honest about something here. Nothing has ruined our society like the drug trade. Nothing even comes close. The drug trade is why you can't stay in cheap motels anymore. Why working class neighborhoods barely exist anywhere in this country anymore. Why so many places without money are so violent. Why so many can't raise kids in the neighborhood they grew up in or even go back and live there themselves if they got out and got away. Why the projects turned into warzones. Why our murder rate is so high. Why our prisons are overcrowded. Why there's any real profit in for profit prisons. Why formerly peaceful towns in Mexico and all over Latin America are warzones with sky high murder rates. Why similar issues and a similar cycle exists all over the world. Let's just be honest about that for a minute here. Why? Because way too many see less wrong with buying drugs than buying sex. We hear this bullshit about sex trafficking, and of course that's a real issue. But it's used by people who refuse to ever acknowledge the role drug buyers play in literally the most destructive business in existence as a way to shout down and rail against all talk of legalizing the sex trade. The same people who have the fucking nerve to talk about marijuana legalization as if it's some kind of greater good when in reality they just want their drugs. Yet they've literally never faced real consequences for being a drug buyer because they're white and privileged. People who pretend literally the most destructive and violent business in history is somehow less morally bankrupt, wrong, and destructive than one that when done right hurts nobody. That right there is why our society is completely fucked these days. Until that changes, I don't see any hope of it getting better. Because selfish wants and pronouns are more important than human lives when those lives don't fall into the same background and profile as certain people.

My wife brought up an interesting thought today, she said, "Do you remember what life was like before Cell phones?" Waiting for someone that didn't show, or driving around looking for a pay phone...one that worked. Having enough change, paying two bucks to leave a message.

 

Today, I realized getting a divorce isn't so bad....lol for once in my life, I have something in common with 50+% of the American (documented, natural-born, etc etc) population....what a country!

 

You're never that old that you can't be amazed, and not always pleasantly.

I had a butterfly get pissed at me and it tried to attack me to chase me off because I was trying to take pictures of it when its wings were wide open while it was feeding on the butterfly bush outside my front door. I have no idea what kind it was because I've never seen one like that before, but I didn't know they got aggressive.

 

Maybe I should plan out a trip.
