Andrea Borrello gives us a perfect example of how a flight can go wrong and still turn into a valuable lesson. He himself shared the experience of his paragliding accident in an honest and detailed way:

Mistakes escalation:

1- wrong assessment of the height between the cliff and the flat area right below.
2- losing patience after waiting 2h on the top for the right wind trying on every side of the mountain
3- became very nervous but wanted to fly anyway because that cliff attracted me
4- decided to start with basically very light wind thinking it was enough for that launch with the psychological mindset I had at the time.

Conclusion: If too much doubt better not to fly. I called the helicopter and I was lucky to have just broken in half my left-hand little finger, my coccyx and a big wound under my left leg.

THE NEW DEVICE THAT TAKES FLIGHT TO THE NEXT LEVEL

Austrian wingsuit pilot Peter Salzmann has set three new world records in a single, exceptionally long flight. Equipped with an innovative wingsuit featuring foil technology, Salzmann achieved a flight time of 5 minutes and 56 seconds, covering a distance of 12.5 kilometers and descending 3,402 meters from Jungfrau mountain in Switzerland.

This breakthrough in wingsuit design, developed in collaboration with Red Bull Advanced Technologies, includes a 2.1-meter wing that significantly enhances gliding efficiency, allowing for longer and faster flights.

THE MASSIVE BALLS OF WINGSUIT PILOTS

Wingsuit pilots have incredible precision. Before jumping, they plan everything: study the terrain, calculate altitude and trajectory, and control every movement in the air. They often perform several reconnaissance jumps with parachutes to familiarize themselves with the terrain at lower speeds and calculate their safety margins. The most impressive thing is their absolute nerve when flying so close to the ground or rocks, almost as if they know they won’t hit anything. There’s no room for mistakes. It’s all about pure control and confidence, knowing their trajectory to the millimeter.

The first video is a 2k24 highlight by Chase Reinford, a young adrenaline junkie who pushes his limits in every jump. A clear example is at 02:50, when he calculates the exact moment to open his wings and passes between two mountains. It’s simply spectacular. And at 04:34, he flies under a tree—not beside it, under it. Absolutely insane.

CROSSING LONDON'S TOWER BRIDGE

Parachutists Marco Fürst and Marco Waltenspiel became the first people to cross the iconic Tower Bridge in London wearing wingsuits.
