Ice Cream. Most people love it (sorry, lactose intolerants).

What are your favorites?

Me, I love this Kroeger (generic brand sold at Ralphs Market) Banana Split ice cream.
I'm a huge fan of just plain old vanilla - nothing better on hot blueberry pie. And plain old chocolate - not every ice cream has to be a cornucopia of taste sensations.

Personally, I'm not a fan of those 'cookie dough' flavors - running into a mulchy chunk of something in the middle of your snack.

What ice cream, and what facets of ice cream do you like?

 

Chocolate...nothing but.

I have serious issues with strawberry ice cream.

 

Gifford's Maine Maple Walnut, only a available at restaurants and takeouts, is my favorite. I also like Tillamook Oregon Strawberry ice cream very much.

 

I will forever mourn the demise of the ice cream sandwich discontinued by Ben & Jerry’s. I don’t know if they currently make another type of sammie, but the original was a slab of vanilla ice cream between two fudgy brownies. Many places serve "brownie sundaes", but that’s just not the same thing.

I’ve eaten MANY brownies in my time, and the brownies used in that sandwich were the very best I’ve ever tasted. They use those same brownies in at least one of their pint flavors, but that too doesn’t compare to the perfect sandwich they once sold. I suppose it was discontinued because it didn’t sell well, but that was their own fault because they were very hard to find… they were wrapped and sold individually, and I would sometimes visit 3 different RiteAid locations in search of them!

Fortunately, the brownies are available at Greyston Bakery and can be ordered on-line. We occasionally splurge on them… OK… maybe it’s more than "occasionally"!

These days, I mostly enjoy homemade ice cream or gelato in a variety of flavors… my current summery favorites are my MIL’s mango or Limoncello gelati.

 

Blue Bell caramel turtle fudge. Only comes out once a year and it's hard to find then.

 

Baskin Robbins once had licorice ice cream for Halloween...it was great. It turned your tongue black.
Some other favorites of mine are Jamocha Almond Fudge, Chocolate Chip Mint, Coffee, Moose Tracks, Neapolitan with all 3 flavors and plain ol' vanilla. Ben & Jerry's made one that was really good..it was a new flavor called " Late Night Snack " in partnership with late night talk show host Jimmy Fallon — a vanilla bean ice cream with a salty caramel swirl and fudge-covered potato chip clusters.

 

Tiger tail. Orange ice cream with a black licorice ribbon.

Chocolate, with nuts.

Pistachio.

President’s Choice makes a vanilla ice cream with fudge crackle sticks in it; that’s pretty much always in the freezer.

I only buy my chocolate ice cream from green cows.

 

Any standard flavor but it has to have chunks, chocolate, nuts, pretzels, anything that gets stuck in my teeth, ...thats why I seldom by ice cream...although because of this thread I have to now, and there will be pictures

 

When it comes to ice cream Shooter is not particular. In fact, Shooter is a whore about ice cream.
Vanilla, chocolate chip, chocolate, it just doesn't matter.
Brand doesn't much matter as long as it ain't ice milk.

Shooter has a confession. His dad was a milkman so we always had all the ice cream we could eat. In fact, we threw away almost as much as we ate. That's 5 hungry kids and their friends. To s of the stuff it seemed.

 

Ice milk is basically low fat ice cream.

 

Ice cream is my all time favourite dessert. My favourite is Haagen Dazs chocolate. I will sometimes mix in a bit of milk and eat it like an extra thick shake. Or I’ll add some Baileys Irish Cream with milk and have an alcoholic milkshake

 

I love ice cream though lately I have been back to cutting it out of my diet. Within past month I did decided to splurge myself.

Chocolate rush...

 

Other than my local creamery, Bascom Robbins Jamocha Almond Fudge. I love that stuff.

 

I love ice cream, it no longer likes me. Beside wanting to relocate directly from my stomach to my belly fat, it really screws with my digestive system.
We’ve tried low fat, low lactose stuff, but is just doesn’t satisfy my taste buds and the creamy feeling on my tongue is missing.
So, I’ve simply eliminated it from my diet, replaced it with cookies and such.

 

Now, you know I adore you, but we’re never eating together! First it was *ick* pineapple on pizza (Heaven help you), and now it’s *blech* licorice and potato chips in ice cream (Father, forgive her for she knows not what she does). What’s next? Dear God, PLEASE don’t tell me you like that vomitaceous Violet gum or *gasp* grape Jell-O!!

 

Yeah, after Shooters little affair with a cardiac surgeon he was told to pay particular attention to fats and sugar. And to stop eating meat of all kinds.
Which he has been doing with great enthusiasm.
But as long as his cholesterol remains below 125 (at last check it was 113) this isn't something he intends to discuss with his doctor.
